Nail Fungus is really hard to get rid of and, to the naked eye, nails appear to be bruised, ridged or yellowing. Nail fungus also often causes the nail to lift away from the nail bed which makes the infection difficult to heal or treat. This is why many over-the-counter remedies just don’t work.

Ellipse Nordlys works by using a medical grade light treatment into the nail so it hits the nail bed cuticle and surrounding skin heating the area and eliminating the fungus infection. It is advisable to treat all toes, not just the affected ones, as fungus can spread quickly and easily. One treatment works but a course of two or three (once a week) is better. The infected or dead nail will grow out in three or four weeks following the treatment and a healthy, shiny, clear nail takes its place.

All nails on the effected hand or foot need to be treated to prevent bacterial transfer.

Generally, we advise for a minimum of four treatments, and it may be necessary to have one or more follow up treatments after some months.

Note that treatment may kill the fungus present, but does not guarantee immunity from future fungal growth, and should therefore be viewed as temporary.

Treatments are spaced 1-3 weeks apart to allow time for healing maximise effectiveness.
